# ZeroTabs Changelog — Version History

A record of what has changed in ZeroTabs, newest first.

## v1.1.0 — July 2026

Sync release. ZeroTabs becomes a synced dashboard. Your work now follows you across every browser and device instead of living in one profile.

### What shipped

- **KnowMan account required** — ZeroTabs now signs in with a free KnowMan account. This is what makes sync possible.
- **Cross-device sync** — tab sessions, notes, to-dos, focus history, and preferences sync with KnowMan and stay in step on every device you sign in on.
- **Public share links** — turn a saved tab session into a link you can send to anyone, no account needed on their end.
- **Anonymous usage analytics** — PostHog, used to see which features get used. No browsing history or keystrokes are recorded, and it can be turned off in Settings.

## v1.0 — March 2026

The first release of ZeroTabs.

### What shipped

- **Curated photography** — a built-in library of CC0 photos that cache locally after the first load, no repeat network calls.
- **Gradient backgrounds** — smooth palette compositions generated entirely in the browser.
- **Generative art** — a new composition renders on every tab open, never repeating.
- **Bookmarks** — save and navigate your most-used links with keyboard-first access.
- **Notes** — plain-text scratchpad stored in `chrome.storage.local`.
- **Reading queue** — save URLs to read later without leaving your current tab or opening another app.
- **Tab session saving** — snapshot all open tabs and restore them at any point.
- **Focus timer** — Pomodoro-style timer that runs in the extension with no external dependency.
- **Full keyboard navigation** — every feature is reachable without touching the mouse.
